Soil Health Reference Program – Participating Labs
Solvita offers a soil health reference (proficiency) program which forms the basis for recognition of soil health test capability. This program employs standard soils selected based on management history (example: depleted vs improved). The soils have been sampled and prepared non-destructively to preserve soil biology factors. These soils are NOT machine ground. It evaluates participant results statistically to determine the capability to distinguish the two soil using selected soil health metrics.
As a convenience to persons wishing to access labs with tested capabilities in soil health parameters an active list is maintained and may be requested:
KEY to MAP SYMBOLS
Solvita Partner: A soil laboratory that meets criteria in offering 2 or more tests consistent with the integrated Soil Health Reference Program.
Solvita DISTRIBUTOR: These firms carry some or all Solvita consumer (non-commercial) products for resale but do not offer a testing service.
Join the Solvita Soil Health and Reference Proficiency Program: This unique program is accessed by more than 30 organizations per year. It aids labs to evaluate their own performance and has bolstered statistical confidence in the magnitude and the proficiency of distinguishing soil health metrics by analytical methods. All participants receive the Annual Soil Health Test Proficiency report prepared by Dr William Brinton, Director, Woods End Laboratories, inc.
